Colin and Erin were here in Basalt for a few days prior to leaving for their 8 month long trip to Panama. We hiked here for two days, first to Cathedral Lake and later to Savage Lake. The hikes were long, so beautiful and fun. Cil and Parker hiked on the Savage Lake run.

Really pretty, though it doesn't look terribly savage, so we'll take your word for it.
It was not very "savage" indeed, but a four hour R/T hike....Colorado has such beautiful hiking country......for me, every day is like a vacation day. Parker the dog really got tired out on this hike, as I took him on a six hour hike the prior day.
